Sunday Morning French Toast


3 eggs
1/4 C Milk, sometimes I use my hazelnut coffee creamer instead :-)
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 T Sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
6 pieces of bread, whatever you have, but stale bread is best
butter
syrup

Whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla and set aside. Soak bread in egg mixture for at least 45-60 seconds flip in batter and allow to sit another 30-45 seconds. Heat a frying pan or griddle, and melt butter so that the entire cooking surface is coated. Use a wide spatula to transfer soaked bread to the pan and allow to cook 3-5 minutes per side. Do not flip until bread is golden brown, flip and repeat.
